Background

Hi, my name is Rob, and I am the founder of Timberlake Renovation. Since I was young I have been highly interested  in lighting design, real estate trends, interior design, and general construction. My father was an engineer and business owner, while  my mom 'moonlighted' as an interior decorator. This combo ignited a passion for remodeling and following design trends at a young age.

I have opened and operated retail stores, from initial brand creation through commercial buildout. There is a seemingly never ending list of home DIY projects that I enjoy tackling myself. I find it extremely rewarding building a tangible physical product from start to finish.  Whether it is collaborating with trained professionals, organizing the work flow for major jobs, or simply doing the carpentry and handyman work myself, I love being out in the field... not behind a desk.

I moved to Chicago from Metro Detroit for college. While I always planned to move back to my beloved hometown, (Timberlake was my childhood street name) I met my wife shortly after graduation. Fast forward a few years and we have 2 amazing young kids being raised in the awesome Elmhurst community.
